Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing laji.cm, activating a Laji Tag, creating an account, or using Laji services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. The service

Laji provides digital identity, asset registration, verification, transport trip tracking, merchant deals, and related tools. Features may evolve as we expand transport, e-commerce, and hospital offerings.

3. Accounts & Laji Identity

• You must provide accurate registration and contact information.
• You are responsible for activity under your Laji Identity and password.
• One physical tag is intended for one asset, parcel, or ticket context.

4. Tags, ownership & verification

Activating a tag does not by itself create legal title under Cameroonian law. Laji records ownership claims and status flags (including lost/stolen) to help finders, buyers, and partners make better decisions. Always follow local law when reporting theft or recovering property.

5. Merchant & transport operators

Merchants and transport operators are responsible for the accuracy of deals, trip statuses, and customer contact details they publish. Laji is not the seller of third-party goods unless explicitly stated.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not register assets you do not own or control.
• Do not submit false stolen reports or misuse the finder portal.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape abusively, or reverse-engineer the service.

7. Fees

Creating an identity and basic activation may be free. Physical tags, merchant plans, and premium features may carry fees disclosed at purchase.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is.” We work to keep the registry available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that verification will prevent every theft or fraud.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Laji is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform, including lost profits or lost assets.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms. The “Last updated” date above will change when we publish revisions.
